Someone at work today asked me if I was going anywhere this summer. He looked less than impressed when I enthused 'Peterborough!!!' ;D
So who else is holidaying at the east of england show ground? What classes are you doing and what are you taking?
I'm taking my 14.2hh appy x connie mare and we're doing the HP show hunter class, the prelim and novice dressage tests, clear round dressage, dressage to music (sensing a theme here?) and performance to music.
Absolutely can't wait! (In case you were wondering, I'm 26. I don't have the excuse of being a child ;D)

Will do if I see you You probably won't miss us - pony looks like Elvis!! At least they've split the hogged and the hairies this year - last year my cob well and truely stood out - most of the class were piebald hairies, and then there was my bright orange and white show cob! Have to say, having such distinctive ponies isn't so great when they decide to misbehave though!!

lol haha, i thinks its good having the cobs out, there a different type and move different! i had a plaited last year got a hairy this year, no plaiting is brill lol. but also having a pony that stands out does help aswell in a sea of white and black ponies

I went for a cob thinking "great....no plaiting" - didn't occur to me that I'd have to clip it every 4-6 weeks!! I think I'd rather plait (especially as I've ended up clipping him a lot more times than we've actually been showing this year!!). Loving the shetland though - barely anything to do with that (although bathing it is enough of a challenge!!)

Equifest is one of few event I and a close friend from Oxford comepte at together; we reckon its our wine stash that pushes the lorries up to their weight limit, never mind food for the nags!!
