New horse of eight months and our first time ;D Arrived @ 7pm.... minus a shoe First class.... Bridle snapped as we approached our gallop so we didn't go for it, and we came way down line. So shook up, failed miserably on trot up - nearly hit the tree and then the ride judge leaving the line on another horse. Gutted, mortified and ashamed Second class... ;D ;D ;D went well, whoop whoop. Had a ball!! and then bawled when got called in 2nd, came up from 5th ;D share your stories everyone, makes lovely reading

My first time at RIHS: Arrived after waiting 2 hours to get in and getting lost on the journey, parked one corner of the show ground, the stable is the opposite corner, the bedding place was closed so we had to carry ours from the 'opposite corner', in our arms (painfully heavy). Did a fab trot round after being cut up about 20000 times, started to go really overbent and too forward, only got to go past the judge 3 times, changed leg in the gallop in the go round, only half of the ring was in use and we only went around on one rein, pulled in any order because of the change of leg, couldn't find any space so ended up standing there for ages, lonely, did our show - quite good considering it was in the warm up arena, on a muddy slope because they wanted to 'save the ring for the workers' and he went into canter in the extended trot and had a little spook! -.- .. we weren't placed... :L Another class tomorrow, hopefully it will be better!!!!! Well Done on coming 2nd fruity ;D ;D ;D

was looking forward to my 1st time at the RIHS, qualified in May then part way through June my clumsy horse decides to break his splint bone!! absolutely no idea how!)....he wasnt lame but unfortunately the horrendous weather and possibility of the ground being wet/slippy prevented us from fulfilling our dream and taking part in the show devastated doesnt even begin to describe it ......to top it off I asked a friend to collect a catalogue so at least i could have have something to keep from the show.....turns out they didnt send his details through to the publishers after processing my entry so his name doesnt appear in it ....talk about bad luck x

Sez, I think I have seen some left over in the show office. If you are quick I am sure that the showing dept would be able to send you one!

Thanks dougle, I spoke to the showing department on Saturday and they have completely missed him out of the catalogue so he doesn't appear in it they are going to try and get a page reprinted but it won't be an official catalogue unfortunately, just a page with his name on this could only happen to me!! Xx
