I would say yes, as we have two 4yr olds that are both still dark grey.
Could be worth asking if they have any earlier photos of him so you can see if he has gone lighter

Yes he will, that's what greys do! Lighten with age until they are white.

100% grey. I have an 8 year old that is still a darkish grey with black legs, mane, tail etc - however he is slightly lighter every year.

The rate of greying can vary hugely.
True roans have solid coloured head and legs. This one's grey, sorry!

My mare was born very dark brown almost black, she is now 8 and its only the last year her mane has gone from black to white and shes pretty much very very light grey apart from her legs. i suspect in next two years she will be completely white, but i know friends horses that have greyed by age of 2.

it is already grey a nice dark grey so may dapple out
