Linnel Buckthorn beloved Fell

Linnel l Buckthorn my beloved Fell pony so sadly PTS this sunny morning. Barney and ! had over 20 yrs of happy times, Barney was a true alrounder excelled in dressage, showing and endurance. won fell pony performance pony of the year and over 100 firsts, 130 seconds placings.
A real gentleman with humans but always herd leader using his famous don't mess with me face and big fell bottom to good effect! was a RDA pony in his later years. barney always kept me safe apart from his famous tanking on grass that no one could hold!!! after a cross country event Barney was still galloping flat out 2 fields after the finish. A passerby asked my friend if we were OK to which Wendy replied oh he does that! A real pony of a lifetime who i will miss so very much xxxx

So sad to read that you lost Barney. We owned him for years before we sold him, my daughters having totally out grown him. He gave Sarah so much confidence and then Vicky competed him in showing, working hunter, dressage and all riding club activities - he won the handy pony at the fell show several times! He was a wonderful caring pony and a great friend. I am so glad he had such an amazing and long life with you.
