I have just looked at the dates for next years show (early I know but I need to sort out annual leave) and they have said that the show is the 31st July - 4th August which seems to be a week later and if NPS keep to the same dates then surely they will clash? Has this happened before or will NPS move there summer champs back a week? If they do clash then surely that will be a lot of lost revenue for the NPS which seems a shame.

It is also the New Forest I think. I know that the RI and New Forest clash sometimes but not with the NPS. RI are a law unto themselves and don't seem to consult with anyone. I am not sure that the NPS could easily move their show as the showground is very busy with events.

I think we might be OK because I think NPS starts on first Wednesday in August - which next year will be 7th. I hope that's it anyway.

30th July is a Tuesday so who says they have lost a Tuesday? it is there own show so they can do what they like. RIHS has clashed with New Forest many times but NPS is a different matter. Why have they changed the date?

It looks to me like its gone back to its original week and thank goodness for that. Its no joke having to keep taking time off school for the kids lucky enough to qualify. Great news! (its always clashed with N Forest)

So will NPS be 7th to 9th August, Hope not, was hoping to try and qualify for the PP class again on the Sunday at RIHS but the kids love the first day at NPS champs. Big decisions to make before the start of 2013.

Hope they put on some more M&M PP classes , be nice if they split the m&ms into small and large breeds at least . Lead rein and first ridden M&M would be popular as well .

Hopefully the NPS will be the 7th to the 9th? But isn't that PUK week? Or will that be the week after?

Hopefully the NPS will be the 7th to the 9th? But isn't that PUK week? Or will that be the week after? Equifest is 14th - 18th August so guess PUK won't be that week. Just wish all the dates could be set so we can organise our lives!

The NPS is always the first Wednesday in August so that is the 7th to the 9th , and if it wasn't planning to be it will have to change. There is no way it can clash with the RIHS .
Not only do competitors have to be considered, but also Judges and Sponsors who may be commited to both.

PUK is the 9th to the 11th. Now held at Stoneleigh... Equifest is the 14th to the 18th, & BSPS the 21st to the 24th. So if NPS do have that above date, they'll clash with PUK, which I don't think they'd want to do..

I feel a bit sorry for the NPS as what ever they do there will be a clash that will upset a lot of people and its not their fault as it appears it is the RIHS that have changed their dates. It looks to be a no win situation

It will be awful if they put coloureds in that stupid little hillside ring, the ponies had an awful time of it this year, no way would the horses manage. When coloured classes are some of the biggest classes these shows have they should hopefully put us in decent rings!
Just looked at site and it is still on on Tuesday so hopefully no ring chance.

Nps should stick to their dates if it clashes with the RIHS so be it !!! you cannot please all of the people all of the time . People will still come for the HOYs Qualifiers I think they would loose more entries if they clashed with Puk etc everyone said it would be quiet this year because of the olympics but I can't say I noticed it made that much difference.

I think the M and M Hoys qualifiers at NPS champs were on the Friday same day as the M and M qualifiers at the RIHS if they were to clash.

The Worker people would be quite hard hit if RIHS and NPS clashed. We are mainly NPS people and try to qualify for the PRP Rescue final at RI through NPS classes. It would be a real shame if we qualified for RI but were then not able to go to our favourite champs!!
