I've never really taken much notice of the race industry - it's not my cup of tea. But having caught a race Frankel was in earlier this year as it happened to be on when I turned the TV on, and noticing this buzz that surrounded him and the sheer acceleration he showed, I started to look his races up - and WOW! I watched his final race earlier today and found myself with tears in my eyes as he pulled his way up the field after his awful start out the gates.
14 races and 14 wins - incredible.

There are so many great, great racehorses for me my favorites going back 30 years; on the flat The great Brigadier Gerard NH Dawn Run ( she was the most successful NH mare in history of NH racing) & Red Rum, the last 10 years; flat nothing has come close to the mighty Frankel, NH not saying he won the most it's not about that but Denman is the epitome of what a chaser should be (bareing in mind if i am correct ?? Kauto only beat Denman once in their 4 outings against each other 3 to 1 to Denman although Timeform rate Kauto the highest rated chaser for over 40 years and that includes Arkle), present; i love Quevega she has won 4 times already at Cheltenham and 3 World Hurdles on the bounce at Punchestown amazing mare trained by Willie Mullins whose father incidently trained the great Dawn Run...and in the furture..my little mare watch out for her Minetta Gold...amazing mare, high class hurdler and then i woke up!! (she's only a yearling and it was a brillant dream, which i hope we all have ;-)

Red Rum, Desert Orchid and Black Caviar (I have never really watched Frankel so that's why, I haven't voted for him) also what about Sea the Stars, he was also unbeaten on the track until he retired to stud

Desert Orchid from national hunt, the most fantastic jumper and hard as nails. Frankel on the flat, everything a racehorse should be and trained by a legend.
