You might have perhaps imagined that they would have looked at the past experience too - successful (financially) or otherwise

I do think that people should greet the showing register with optimism and offer assistance and suggestions. They may prove to be a success and many will be left with egg on their face. GM are free to work with whomever they choose irrespective if any past experience or not. GM via tsr have said the technology is there for the societies to use but they have choose not to. That in utself leaves the door open to another entity. The fact remains that mrs chapman and her team have sent a gap in the market and choose to try and fill it. In todays economic climate all societies are competing for members. Many organisations have undertaken a variety of cost saving measures - have the societies? Next year my membership renewals top over £250 and that does not include any horses! A one membership does all is long over due and cross member benefits - the governing bodies as recognised by the FEI do this. Showing is made up of self appointed governing bodies that are not recognised at UK sport.
Many of you may choose to chatise me for my comments but i am pointing out another side of the arguement that is all.
