They are mountain and moorland ponies and it was an OLYMPIA championship...after a class etc, one short gallop would make little difference!!! Yes the ground was hard, but it didn't stop judges in breed riddens etc and also, competitiors still chose to compete for two days in a number of classes. It would have made little difference!!

In the breed classes we were given the option to gallop. The ground was very hard and slippery on top, only the very well balanced ponies coped with it.

Re-post the bad and jealous things I have said about the Highland then? I said nothing about championship, just judging of MY section which disappointed me!! Also, I kept saying IMO, that is my views and I'm not asking anyone to agree!

Yes I agree both are being rude definately jealousy!! The ground was too hard for a gallop. The hipo is definately liver chestnut, not bay and as for mistaking it for a fell or dales thats just hilarious

A bit harsh "pony girl" How do you know "Telegraph" was not in it to win it!! This website is all about comments and opinions weather they are good or bad, everyone's is different!!! People need to remember that! Think that's a case of the pot calling the kettle black Connies after what you have posted re the NF and Connie section. You have to remember that people may have different opinions but personal attacks on indviduals and their ponies are really not called for

Well this is getting silly,ok so some of jm's choice of pony was not to everyone taste and SOME OF HER placings were not to connies and telegraphs standards,if people feel strongly enough to keep coming on here then maybe some of there spare time could be taken up with going on the NPS judging panel!! but the sec d winner has been to both HOYS and olympia and is a lovely pony, her champion is a new pony on the block some new faces are surely what people want they all moan that it is the same old stuff.so if it is read back at times there have been slightly underhand diggs at the pony but noone has said it out right,it is done and as that is the poy that willrepresent her at olympia then noone else need worry!! the pony IMO is a lovely pony who goes well,GOOD LUCK to anyone else who is brave enough to try and acheive there dreams!!!!!!

Onwards and upwards lets see which is the next judge to ask themselves why they would even bother to get up early, stand on their feet for hours and then get told they do not no what they are doing!! But i am sure they are not as silly as us and come on here!!

Just to set the record straight we had absolutely no idea that we would win the HOYS LR class on Sunday. Fifer has only been under Mrs Brooks once before at Bucks last year where he was 3rd and never under Mrs McInnes with us. The only reason I can imagine you think the result was predictable is because he is such a good M&M LR pony! His results speak for themselves. He has now done two HOYS qualifiers this year and has technically won both (placed second at Solihull on joint marks) and don't we deserve some congratulations for continuing to have success with him?! Anyway, we are still on cloud nine for getting two HOYS tickest in two days - best weekend ever!!! And to get champion with both ponies was the icing on the cake! Thanks Bev for your kind comments - Mai went so well for Greer and looked such a star - took three shows to work out how to do her and got it right when it mattered!!!

Well done Claire, Charlie, Fifer and Mai. You and your ponies have deserved their success and are a credit to those who have produced them before you as well. May well pinned foundations lead a long time at the top. Enjoy your showing and have a great time at HOYS.

Don't get so upset whoever is sticking up for the highland. It's nice she qualified and good on her but I don't think many top class highlands were in the breed class at the show so winning that although good does not mean he is the best. I wouldnt be any good as a judge as i thought it was a dales or a fell CONNIES I WAS TALKING ABOUT TELEGRAPH ! IF YOU READ IT IT ACTUALY SAY IT WAS AIMED AT TELEGRAPH !

To bring this to a close before moderators shut it: I don't have anything against the Highland and wish them luck. I have a quiery with the judging of my section where a nice show and go round was not rewarded and that's all!
