I was just wondering what breed people reckon my boy is? I've owned him 10 years (he is 25 now & in the picture). He was sold to me as a full Welsh D, some old owners of his said he is a NF & he went through a sales as a TBxNF but really we have no idea!! He wasn't passported when I bought him. He is a classic SHP type standing at 14.1 with 9' of bone, a big front and a proper workman trot (but not 'knees'). He moves like a horse but has A LOT of pony character and a very thick mane. Just wondered peoples thoughts please! ;D

He does look very short in this pic =p. Parvadean Delight is an absolute stunner, I have a D as well and he is nothing at all like him in any way but It never crossed my mind about the C's. Pretty sure he's native of some sort but, wish he was a Parvadean haha

NF X WELSH C. He has the chunky welsh legs / body & neck / head / colouring of the NF side.

he looks D to me... I had old type D a C should not exceed 13.2hh and D's ideally should be between 13.2hh and 14.2hh but times and a bit of other breeds have changed them so much

Had he been a full mountain & moorland he would have had a breed certificate - all breeders have to register with their breed society and have done for the last 45 yrs that I can remember breeding, when passports became legal we had to send all our breed certficates in and they were exchanged for passports. Its very difficult to tell from a pic - does he have any feather? and how does he move?
