Has anyone paid for low emission fees to get to Olympia, I have looked on the London low emission zone charges and it says if the wagon is older than an 06 plate it can be up to £200 a day to pass through these zones. If anyone has traveled to Olympia in an older than 06 plate horse box I would appreciate there feedback if they had to pay any of these fees.

hi, its 200 for each day ie overnight 400 , olympia itself is just outside the zone if you come in the m4 way i think, but where you park is in the zone, when emmission thing first introduces a few yrs ago, they allowed a lorry to go in once without the fines, seen by camera, and then travel in and out for 28 days, but i am pretty sure this is finished now, and if you call them they wont commit themselves. better to go by trailer and book cheap hotel, cheers if you need any more help call me on 07867740195 as we have been 4 times

Thanks for the response everyone however, the congestion charge bit is fine it's the low emission charges am worried about which according to the low emission department are chargeable 7days a week. Have called the above number but couldn't tell me anything due to technical issues from a system update.

Congestion charges are different to low emission charges. You are correct when you say £200 to go into central London and £200 out again the next day. You do not park at Olympia, you have to travel to a designated lorry park. You should have received all this information from BSPS. Best Idea is to go with a trailer. If you take your lorry you will be charged.

hi i took my lorry through the emissions and its an F reg and I got a warning letter - if your lorry has never had a warning letter then your ok you get let off once but you have to double check this with DVLA first to make 100 per sure. I did this 2 years ago - last year i hired a 3tonne lorry but I know they have pay low emissions

All of the above is correct info from Minkara and Deejay. Also, remember that the charge is per day, so overnight is definitely two days. Someone told me recently that you can still have one 'cheeky' trip and get a warning letter, BUT this would only apply to one of your days if staying overnight. PLUS I would be concerned that if you were booking for either of these (thinking you'd get away with one trip), the fact you knew about the system well enough to book one trip may well jeopordise the 'ignorance' argument. FYI, the parking is in Seagrave Road, just behind Earls Court. There is a shuttle bus service, but I would remind them you need picking up when you set off from G gate.

if anyone wishes to see my letter that i had from the transport of london when I took my 7.5 tonne lorry thats 20 years old into london in 2010. i dont know how to put it on here but if you in box me your mobile number i will photo copy it on my iphone and send it you. It actually allows you 28 days from the date of the letter to go in and out of london without charge then its a charge. this is providing your vehicle has not been caught in london before and i double checked
