I have got an 8month Pappion she is from our litter so we have mum and dad. Mum is a small dog however my puppy (bow) is not even half the size of her sister and weighs less then a bag of sugar. She is a playful happy puppy however I was just wondering if anyone knows of anyway to help me help her gain a bit of weight, I understand some dogs are just small but just wondered. Thanks.

Hi, my Yorkie was exactly the same but she was definitely the smallest in the litter, as an adult she only weighed 3lbs. We worried to when we got her and the vet advised to treat her like any other pup as that was just the size she was going to be. She won a lot locally at dog shows and had a fantastic nature. Her brother was more than double her size but she never had any health problems, she died last year aged 17 years from old age.
I hope this reassures you a bit.

Aww thankyou so much, that was my biggest fear thinking she wouldn't live as long as the others. Sorry to hear she passed away must have been awful. It has reassured me a lot knowing she is ok the way she is.
Thanks again.
