sorry if this is in the wrong place and it has been asked many times before... but am fairly new to the coloureds so please excuse me...
if I get my horses passport ( currently Irish Horse Register) overstamped by CHAPS do I also have to have it overstamped by BSPA ?
I want to compete eventually in RIHS and HOYS quals.
Thanks!

Yes its £25 I think for BSPA over stamp, then you need to make yourself a member of BSPA @ £35 & I think they still charge a £10 random new joining fee, pay for you world of colour if you want to go to BSPA champs £6 and RIHS card £18
Chaps you need to make yourself a member, £7 joining fee, £35 membership, £18 for hoys card, £28 for horse registration, £18 for your overstamping (Im not sure if you need to pay registration fee if your getting an overstamp)

BSPA is RI & CHAPS HOYS you dont have to be a member of BSPA to join CHAPS they are seperate societies but if you want to do HOYS & RI then yes you will have to join both

Im struggling with the coloureds too. ours just has a gypsy cob passport, what do i need to do so that we can enter hoys and ri classes? and does he need measuring before hand? Also it will be a different jockey on him so do i need to make them a member too?

Livtom, is he a gelding or entire as he will need to be graded with both societies if he is still entire before he can compete. If not then you can apply to have his passport overstamped with each society, then the owner and rider must both be members. You also need to apply for a HOYS number from CHAPS and an RIHS Q card from BSPA

Livtom - You will need a height certificate if your cob is going to compete in height restricted classes eg. not exceeding 138cm.
