Thats great news ! My two loves = coloureds and side saddle together. Have you thought of affiliating to the SSA - with a qualification for a coloured championship class at the SS Championships. The ladies hunters do it with a HOYS qualification for the winner at SSA Champs, extremely well supported.

Happy to do this. Will speak to Kate, unless you want to get the ball rolling?

Ohhh! interested in coloured side saddle! wouldnt mind having a go at that myself! I won the supreme products sponsorship for home produced armature 2013 - after there facebook campaign. I was picked as the winner with my 14hh 4yr old coloured SHP. Here is a pic of us at Cheshire county last season when he was 3yrs old.

I am really interested in this! I competed my coloured horse last yr and the yr before in side saddle classes and in the beginning I was told by a fellow competitor to prepare myself to not do very well because he was coloured, but we won loads together!! all at county level and at the nationals!! I am hoping to get the same horse out this year but am also wanting to teach my 5yr traditional to carry me on the side and have a go at some jumping (which my other horse found too exciting for me to learn on!!) Would love a clinic to be held in East Anglia somewhere Here is a picture of us at equifest ( we had only been riding sidesadddle for 3months before this show and we won!!) Would love a clinic to be held in East Anglia somewhere

He looks very smart and you both are a very compatible pairing. Do not be put off, Side Saddle is for everyone and every horse as long as they can carry the saddle. Not everyone can ride or wants to ride thoroughbreds. I would be very happy to travel to East Anglia if we can find a suitable venue and drum up some interest. The only thing I would like to see with this animal is the head lifted higher so that you felt you had more infront of you. He will probably be stronger in his back this year and you will be able to 'sit him up' (his hocks are nicely under him tho and he looks very soft and round. well done you.
