I did push my husband in that direction and to be fair, he's not very horse minded but did OK andhe did enjoy being with Georgie - my only complaint is that he always looked as if he was leading the pony like a dog! He also had a very odd way of going (husband not the pony)
His last time out was with a friends son - halfway through the show (Oliver my husband not looking at child at all) James completely lost his reins so at one point had both hands flapping wildly in the air, however they did finish together and I think scored extra brownie points through the pony's manners throughout!!

Last weekend my 8yr old daughter rode in a lead rein , first ridden and open class on different ponies, whats so wrong with that? They are all novice ponies and she is riding the lead rein to bring it on for her 3yr old sister but she will still ride a lead rein next season and anything else that I have for her to ride.
