**SOLD - to a lovely home - we will miss you Comet **
We are looking for an experienced 5* Home for our young Bay Gelding. He was born from a mare that we had taken on loan just a few weeks after she arrived with us - a total shock!! The owner of the mare did not want him and was going to send him to a dealer : so we kept him. We are not experienced in breaking and training and do not want to ruin him hence he is now for sale to someone experienced to bring him on and give him a loving new home.
He has not been broken but has been well handled and we did a bit of lunging last summer, which he took to well.
He is gorgeous to look at (bay) and probably is Welsh X. He currently stands at approx 12.2h. His mother was not registered (but definitely had Welsh in her) She was a 13h beautiful piebald and she won lots of rosettes in showing and SJ (great clean jump).
He will come to call (99% of the time) and is excellent to catch; good with farrier for trimming; stands for grooming; fine with sprays and hoses and having his feet picked; will lead in walk nicely and has been for a 4 minute ride in a trailer (last year and was fine). Has also had some small walks out on the roads. He is used to cars, vans, tractors as we have a busy yard.
He could live out but we bring him in to a stable at night during winter. A good doer so does not need lots of hard feed (especially when grass is good). Not laminitic. No sweetitch. Not nappy. Fit and Healthy
He has been wormed (when required) and vaccinations are up to date.
He happily lives with mares and geldings and is fine if on his own in a field.
He will be a cracking little pony for riding or driving (lots of character and learns quickly)... his new home is most important to us.
Ideally, we would like him to go to a "forever home" or at least one where he will be kept for a few years, before being sold on SO no dealers please. Home more important than price so money can be discussed if he is suitable for you.
Could email you pics of him and his mum if interested.
