Sadly Owl passed away in his sleep Wednesday evening. We, at Cayberry Stud jointly owned him with his breeder Mrs Newbolt-Young. Owl was a true gentleman and will be truly missed here. He was a tremendous Dartmoor, having won at HOYS and been best of breed at Olympia. He has left us with some lovely babies. 2 year old Alaina wanted to practice her show (hence the showing cane!) RIP Owly ♥ 1986 - 2013

I remember him well from his time in Scotland when (I think) Anna Guest had him. He was a joy to watch and left lovely offspring. RIP Owl

R.I.P. Owl, a true dartmoor ,a fantastic childs pony and a showman through and through, he will be sadly missed by all who knew him , but he has left us with fantastic memories, and some lovely offspring. We used to compete against him in his hayday, ridden by Katie Jane Russell, what a great combination they were.

So sad to read this. I, too, remember him from his time in Scotland. There was an article about him waiting at the kitchen door of his rider's house A true native pony - a leg in each corner - and a fabulous ambassador for his breed
