I have a very naughty puppy, she's into everything, she's chewing my shoes, biting people, alsorts! She's only 13 weeks, but she has so much energy its unreal.
What would people recommend to nip this in the bud? I don't want a vicious dog later on in life. She's a heinz 57 lol. Jack russel, kayan terrier, corgi, irish terrier, fox terrier. She's a little rascal!
She's on bakers complete puppy biscuits at the moment. Would you change this to something more natural?
Thanks in advance xx

Ditch the bakers, and phone your local dog warden and ask for details of puppy training classes in your area.
Also worth thinking about crate training her. Would minimise any destructive behaviour whilste you're out and give her her own 'safe' place to go.

Sounds normal to me. Mine were like that, 1 still is a bit. I just do a harsh no or ah ah when they are doing something naughty and a stern look. You just have to make sure you move everything out of her way. Give her plenty of toys to chew and mouth on and lots of play to tire her out plus lots of praise and treats when shes good. Maybe see if there is a local puppy training class you can go to aswell. Plus I did get told that bakers is rubbish but don't know how true that is. If you change food though do it really slowly or it can upset tummys :-)

I've got a ten month old jack that was exactly the same, full of energy! My suggestions are crate at night and whilst your out (anyone who thinks putting them in a cage is cruel is talking rubbish, dogs like to have a place of their own where they can go and chill without us humans!), definately go to a puppy training class do your research and find someone with a good reputation nearby. We always used chicken pieces as a training aid as she goes mad for it! Put the time in at home, doing basic commands etc. it really does make the difference! Playing in the garden used to tire her out and when she could be trusted, we started letting her off the lead for a run - again trained to come back and heel with the wonder of chicken! Take it with you on walks and they always come running haha. Anther good trick for chewers is get a hollow kong toy (indestructible) and put peanut butter in it then freeze it over night. It'll keep them busy for hours, much harder to get out and not as fattening as filling it with treats every half an hour! The brand does suggest paste stuff but it's very messy! Hope that helps, PM me if you want any other tricks think we could write a book haha xxx

I read that Bakers is the equivalent of feeding your dog a McDonalds every day! I would definitely recommend cage training. It's not cruel. They like their own space. Also... Feed wise, I recommend Wainwrights from Pets at Home. It's just like James Wellbeloved but cheaper. Natural.

Just thought, with the food I used science plan for the first few months then moved to bakers as its cheaper. I don't think changing food will make too much difference to the pups behaviour tbh id try training and extra walks first before spending money on expensive food and for nipping, don't play with him/her with your hands - hard to explain but we had to stop sort of play fighting with ours cause she nipped & a sharp NO or time out in her bed stopped her when she got too giddy whilst playing.

Oh and ur shoes are more interesting because she isn't allowed them. Take her toys off her an have a 'special' toy that she loves to play with. Treat it so that ur game with ur toy is the best in the world and she will soon think that ur shoes are boring cos ur game is much more interesting :-)) xx

Get rid of the Bakers. She is just acting like a normal puppy. They are interested in everything and will chew while they are teething. You need to be firm but kind and consistent with training

Sounds like she is trying to be boss to me. Try raw food and some strict discipline.
