After seeing the PBA poll I thought I would do this one. M&Ms seem to be the most popular classes by far with massive numbers in most the classes, so maybe it will take the pressure off the open classes? What do you all think?

I have thought this for the past few years.. It would make it worth entering HOYS qualifiers if you know that the judge is judging the pony not the face! Don't know why they haven't got a search for a star M&M when they have every other class already....

I asked SEIB Search For A Star this question a couple of years ago (as we only have M&M's!) & they said they didn't hold qualifers for M&M's as there are already plenty of classes/opportunities for Natives to qualify - would be great if they considered including them as the classes are useful for getting feedback from the judges.

Deffinatley! Is sfas amateur/hp? Would give us "nobody's" a slight chance!

I agree a SFAS M&M class would be fab! Whilst I don't want to be cynical and assume all judges are "facey" I do think it would give all us "nobodies" the confidence to have a go at higher level classes - I know sone people say that if it's good enough for SFAS it's good enough for a HOYS open class but sometime us amateurs just don't have the guts to try against the pros! It's quite an intimidating thought, I'd feel like a right numpty in amongst all the top producers, even if I was on a fab pony! Lol

As far as I am aware it is for riders and ponies who have never ridden or been at hoys so niether pony or rider must have been so not sure if the exact hp rules apply? I just think it would cut down the 'open' class numbers which surely from a h&s point of view where you have 50 odd in a class must be a good thing I thing as some people who have no choice but to do the open hoys would opt for the SEIB instead?
