There are generally plenty of HOYS clinics in the run up to the show. I went to one last year and found it very helpful

I would hire a big indoor school away from home, play loud music in there and get people to clap and cheer?!

Don't forget the Monty Roberts demonstrations are coming up around the UK (I won't say any more or it would be advertising!) google to find details and you could apply for your horse to be part of the demonstration if you explain the exact situation.

Good point, Kelly! I would also add:
* find out what it is your horse finds stressful (noise, people etc) and try to tackle each point and de-sensitise. * take heart from the fact that you have 2 working in sessions for your class. A really good way to get a horse calm in the ring. Not usual at any other show
Good luck
