We rescued Bert 10 years ago and he was ever so happy. Although only lightly ridden as he had dodgey knees he loved life and jumping on the lunge. Today my sweet boy was taken from me so quickly through colic. He did fight all the way but in the end we had to put him to sleep as nothing was working. A pony with a sense of humour and who enjoyed life to the max. Bert was also an escape artist. He loved laughing as was always putting his top lip up. Just as he was put to sleep there was a massive clap of thunder. Now every time it thunders i will think of him causing chaos in the sky. RIP my precious have to stop now as may water damage my computer.

they don't need to be a show horse to get into your heart.he's been a lucky horse to have you,and given you some good memories.

So sorry for you all I know how special and loved he was - he would have been an amazing show coloured for you if his knees had allowed it. RIP Bert
