Louise Barrett is this weeks name name I am 350 worse off for a jessica!!! She actually emailed and said she had not received money and could I send again - at that point I realised.... In our email exchange I said I was nervous about doing a transfer and she said "don't worry I am not a scammer - there are some nasty people out there"!!!!!! I feel soooooooo stupid!

How many of you that have been scammed have written to your local mp?? If as you say the police are doing 'nothing' then I'm sure your local mp will get involved.; after all they are a voice for local people and they want your votes at the next election)
I'm not defending the police as I am not involved in this but it may be that hey are doing something but are not able to say so as it would impede on their investigation and it only takes one small thing to make a case against someone not stand up in court.

I feel so sorry for the people who have been conned but why aren't people realising the only way to be safe is to use paypal!?! She may be very convincing but trust nobody and stop doing bank transfers!

tried it again tonight using a different mobile 07858 054619 .... be on guard! This number text me last night at 1.38am!!!! Offering me a WOW saddle that I have been looking for. I text it back this morning asking for pics and have had no reply! I have a saddle now anyway but the bare faced cheek of this little skank infuriates me, wish I lived closer to her!!! |

I'm not defending the police as I am not involved in this but it may be that hey are doing something but are not able to say so as it would impede on their investigation and it only takes one small thing to make a case against someone not stand up in court. I agree with this, however you would think they would still want to gather details of scams as they occur to beef up their case. It can take AGES to build a case against someone and therefore I can understand there could be lots going on in the background, but turning people away rather than taking their details is strange. Have to say if I was being scammed, given the prolific nature of this particular individual, I would keep going up the ranks of management in the police until someone took me seriously or gave me an idea of what was going on. I know some members would like the mods to create lists of names, etc but as we are not (so far as I am aware) personally involved, we need to be careful not to do anything that would prejudice a future court case so, while we are happy to let members discuss things, we cannot really take a role that (from our perspective) involves relaying third party information. We have sent a PM to all members reiterating the importance of using PayPal - if everyone does that, then this scammer would need to find another way to get your money. |

CID Kent Richard Coulson 02082848858 These will take statements and notes although after speaking to Richard he is not totally responsible. I have just provided him with more up to date information rather than older stuff he already has. Just keep trying. It may seem small to those of you its not happened to but it actually eats you up! It is frustrating and upsetting no matter if 5p! It is not her money. Some people have lost hundreds on saddles and let's face it if we are buying second hand it means we don't have to funds to go new! Please all get on board and help if you can. Thanks X |

Good on you Laura, anyone have her recent profile picture from facebook as i do? I have a friend who has her as mutual friend as he is based down south that could be very useful for the people on TV put a face to the name, fingers crossed she is finally caught out, i know someone mentioned that they found her and chased her but she got away..That was a shame! She needs to be stopped before more people lose their hard earned money! x

Would one of the consumer type TV programmes not be interested? I suppose it would affect the police investigation though  I was recently involved in the claimant side of things with someone who was procecuted for a crime, he was found guilty but swept it under the carpet and still swans around the internet with his little fan club none the wiser - these people will always brazen it out Edited to say I see someone has already mentioned Watchdog |

Would it not be a good idea to start a website or online petition so everyone can list what they have been scammed out of the names used and bank details, she's scammed not just for horse items but other stuff, collate all of this and send copies to the various banks concerned and police, fraud and watchdog

Many thanks to Laura81. I had 'smelt a rat' but it was good to see her shout and have it confirmed. Louise Barrett offered me a 17 inch Fylde Samantha saddle for £380 - the price was tempting but not silly. I then asked to collect and was told that she was 'away on a shoot'. When I said I was only prepared to pay via Paypal, I got the usual 'there is a problem with my Paypal business account'. When I clearly wasn't going to part with a lot of money via bank transfer, she then offered to allow me to pay a £40 deposit and the courier would take cash on delivery. I work in logistics and I do not know of any couriers who will take cash. Unsurprisingly, she then claimed that the courier was limited to £200 so please could I transfer £180 instead. I have played her along for 2 days so I hope I have wasted some of her time and money. She gave me a Halifax account 10986568 sort code 11 05 83 and used the e mail address louisebarrett88@outlook.com. I will be contacting Richard Coulson in the morning.
It is very sad that we all have to be so suspicious and careful. I have traded via Ebay, Preloved etc for some years and have been lucky enough to meet some very nice genuine people.

Also now selling iPhone 5s on the real orpington gossip page for 100!! People really need to clue up if they fall for that mind but then the best bit which I literally wet my self laughing in hysterics was her post on there saying please will all the haters leave her alone shes a honest seller with ggenuine merchandise with lots of happy customers,,,,,,,,, unless she means cocaine we all know how true that isn't but the bare faced cheek of it really tickled me!!!

"Poppy Eastwood" has also been trying to sell Hoys stables. Mum called up last night to buy but wasnt at home to transfer the money straight away, the girl kept ringing and texting asking for the money! Apparently her story was that she cant get the pony on the trailer and isnt to fussed about going! Thats when the alarm bells rang how can you not bothered about going it Hoys!!!,so mum asked for her name. Be careful
