Oh dear  lauren Williams emailed me about a saddle she was selling sent pics of a 16" fylde Samantha for 380 which from the pictures looked immaculate! Assured that she was able to accept PayPal but low and behold there was a complication with the account not linking with her business account so could I pay her directly?? Um I think NOT!! She didn't have an advert on hg and picked my email address up from a post I replied to so smelt a rat  ? DREAM ON HUNNY this woman isn't for scamming! Is there any way to report her? Beware, lozzawilliams33@gmail.com enquired about my 16" Black Country saddle I have for sale. Received several photos of the item, so please be careful you are not offered it to buy (any wanted adds). This is after trying to sell me a Samantha twice previously; 1st time under the name of Karen Armitage, based in Thirsk, email kprimstonefarm@gmail.com and 2nd time, no name, mobile number 07783 052974, based Bedford. PLEASE, PLEASE be vigilant when receiving photos of saddles offered for sale. I only noticed that the saddle looked rather small to be a 17" and questioned this, asking for pictures showing the measuring tape!!! This did not materialise.

Just in case it is a scam I have put up the pictures used to alert people in case she uses another alias :-) sorry if I have posted someone else's picture but I would like to know if someone was posing as me especially the girl with the bay pony as someone may associate with her being involved :-(

Have had a lady offer me what looks almost new fylde Samantha with stirrups and cover and postage included for 400 asked me to pay a deposit and she would send saddle and I pay in full on arrival asked to pay into her bank but i said no paypal only i haven't heard from her since, looked on her profile and she only joined 5th September 2014, please can everyone only pay by paypal no bank transfers then maybe this will stop!! My alarm bells rang when I offered 400 and she said deal

hi all ..i have been private messaged by sreid offering a fylde hayden 14 inch for £280 , i had posted on another members post who was offering a similar saddle , when i asked for pictures she sent me 3 pics . i googled 1 of them which was from ebay in june and sold for 480 ,, i have asked if she takes paypal but no reply as yet , her email was sarah reid , is she a fraud , i noticed sreid was a new member with no posts ,, thanks

Sounds like the kind of thing they are doing! I commented on someone's post with my email address and I thought it was the person who put the ad up replying! Only cottoned on when the genuine seller also emailed me. The seem to be using Gmail addresses a lot, in my opinion if it looks to good to be true it probably is. I paid a fair amount for a saddle on here via PayPal and it arrived today in impeccable condition and no hassle, genuine people do exist but you get what you pay for. I would rather pay a little over the odd than lose my money just be careful :-)

No I have posted the pictures she sent me in the above posts to help people in recognising the culprit should they contact them with the same :-) hopefully the net is closing for them and they are finding it harder to con people with the awareness raising!

It is the fault of the banks and Police - The Met Police inparticular - as they have let that Poppy cow away with it time and time again, despite having a tonne of evidence against her, and as for Action Fraud I've seen more action in a sloth!!!! Useless cretins the lot of them imo..... Imy daughter has been contacted by a girl. Allying herself Rebecca Freeman who allegedly has a 17" Samantha, a 16" Marjorie and a 15" Hayden for sale. We made an offer which she accepted without question, which immediately raised our suspicions as the offer as very low. She had provided photographs of immaculate saddles, barely sat on by the looks of them. She could only accept cash or a cheque as she had no PayPal herself and her husband had forgotten his login details. She only wanted to post or courier as she was "incredibly busy this week" and couldn't have people calling to her house, although she had said she lived in Essex and gave a CM postcode. When I said I would be in the Chelmsford area on Wednesday she made another excuse that she didn't have her diary with her so wouldn't be able to do anything for a few days. Please beware of this person REBECCA FREEMAN. She has not contacted my daughter since and we think she got the mobile number from our advert for livery on our yard. |

There's another one going round too don't know if it's related to poppy or not but the email was through her partner Peter Mitchell and I'm pretty sure the pics she sent me were the same pics a lady sent me off here about 2months ago! Unfortunately I can't tell you her name off preloved as the messages seem to have disappeared! She also took a ridiculous offer on a dh samber wh saddle but wanted half the money before delivery and half after she was happy for paypal then said she was at her limit this month do could I send £70 now then the rest later!! She also lost her phone so changed no yesterday I have both if these numbers if anyone wants them! She was based near Brighton x

Further to Catherine Harris - i drove to the address given to pick up a saddle, as only up the road and it's a sheltered Housing block in Chelmsford - so for safety matters for these elderly people I have reported her and all details to the police - whoever she is!! Doubt anything will happen though!

I suggest everyone file a claim through small claims-as all hearings are heard locally to the perpetrator the local court will be inundated-the court may then pass this to the police. Sadly I don't have much confidence in the police (having been a WPC a long time ago!)
I had my land rover headlights pinched a few years ago, by the time I got home (by following the RAC man with his lights flashing) my lights were on e bay. Arranged to meet the person as offered buy it now, and had his number (he was living in the village my headlights were stolen from, ) gave all this to police who confirmed they were known criminals-but had " insufficient evidence" for a search warrant or prosecution. Unsurprisingly they didn't show after spotting my now husband where we had arranged to meet! Phone call later claimed he'd had to take daughter to hospital so couldn't meet us......I gave up as after that they wouldn't answer calls.

I have just read this thread from start to finish (in between mucking out 6 stables lol) and one false name leapt out at me...cgreen76 mentioned that this piece of scum has used the name Grace Mumford. Grace is the sister of show producer Catherine Hudson and I doubt their mum Penny Francis would be terribly impressed that her daughters name is being used in this way. Don't have contact details for Penny but if she finds out I'm sure she will have something to say!
