Was he happy in the old bit before you changed? If so if it were me I'd change back if he's always been happy in it.

No as it slid to one side or the other as too big :-( Just can't understand the shanks going forward !

Oh right. So you mean the ring where the rein is sits forward or where the cheek piece fastens? Im trying to visualise it in my head which way it is tipping?

Yes the ring where the ring sits points forward so the angle is going the opposite way to what it should. The bit is on the right way so when contact is taken up the rings point backwards but it is the shanks which normally sit vertical when no contact but the shanks sit forward towards the nostrils on this one , really odd ;-)

The only thing I could suggest is trying different types of weymouth as in thickness of the mouthpiece. See if any friends have some you can borrow in the correct size and see how they sit. Have you got a lip strap on it?

Yes going to try a few others as i really can't think why it is doing this apart from Hes pushing his tongue against it . Have a curb chain cover rather than a strap as the cover gives a much softer even feel.

it could be that the port on the weymouth is slightly different , and so the bradoon is sitting differently aswell , so the whole outfit is a change in the horses mouth

I presumed you're putting a lip strap on too?
