When riding think about putting weight in your outside stirrup, don't get too much flexion to the inside, are you lunging with side reins on ?

If he's really not getting it, keep a firm contact on the outside rein as you ask as a bit of a safety blanket. Try over a trotting pole. Also can try a smaller circle then push him out as he strikes off. Frustrating problem I can sympathise but they do get it in the end  |
