Hi all, I have a Native Pony Saddle Company Fen saddle for my Dartie but unfortunately it seems to slip forward, does anyone else's saddle do this? He has no wither and I feel the saddle doesn't fit him. I have a saddle fitter coming on Saturday but I am just curious if it's a Dartmoor thing and do people find them used to fit. Thank you all

Some lines of Dartmoors do have no wither - some have a good wither - it depends which lines you choose, we use a fylde haydon or a silouhette.

Hi Jane, I have a Greenferns Stud Dartmoor, Dam is Greenferns Rebekah and Sire is Dunmere Buff Ermine.
I though fitting Highlands for a saddle was bad but this boy is ten times worse.

Ask Bev Firth - she owned Buff Ermine and showed him under saddle - ask what saddle she used - Bev can be found on fb. or pm me for her number.

I will see if I can find her in Facebook. Is she known as BRC Firth on Facebook?

We have decided to go down the route of a made to measure, we tried numerous saddles including treeless but nothing is any use. He wasn't happy with Amy of them as they slipped forward and restricted his shoulders. He is going to be broken to harness over the Winter and then templates done for a saddle next Spring.
