Heritage Saddlery

Hi all has anyone got any experience with saddles from Heritage Saddlery? I am looking to get my Dartmoor a made to measure saddle next Spring and I liked the look of their saddles and I was wondering what dealings people have had with them.

Do you mean Matt Marlow, Heritage saddles? I have had 3 made by him and have another one in the production line! He is an excellent saddler and saddles are top quality

I've not had a saddle from him, although my friend has one for her little mare, which is lovely and several years old now. I have however had some bridles from him, off the peg and made to measure, and I am really pleased with the quality. Again several years old now - 2 of the bridles have left me (accompanied their ponies on loan!) but one is still in daily use and still in great condition, despite the neglect it suffers with us - tack cleaning rarely makes it to the top of our to do list!!!

I had a made to measure show saddle off Matt about 8 years ago now and still use it today its been a great saddle.
I would highly recommend.

I have had a m2m saddle off of him (after having 4 different saddlers try and make a saddle for her and failed) and it fit perfectly. However I recommended him to quite a few of my mates and 1 had a lot of trouble with him. If you choose to use him make sure you ride the pony in the saddle whilst he is there

Think I might have a problem as I live on the Isle of Lewis up on Scotland and we don't have any saddle fitters on the island.

I used him for my Connies Saddle. Love the saddle and Matt was great
