It is with devasation i write this that i had to say goodbye to my beautiful section D, Valiant Rhydian on 4th february, having been lame for 5 days and then admitted to leahurst and tests done it was discovered he had tumours, aggresive tumours that cost rhydian his life i cant belive that within 2 weeks my horse of a life time has gone from being so healthy and running free in the field to being so lame and having to say goodbye. having bought Rhydian from a friend who saved him from being put down after a freak accident, i bought him and took him from strength to strength, from doing inhand, to ridden and then to discovering dressge.Rhydian had a temperament to die for and i loved him so so much, he did so much for my daughters too, i cannot believe he has gone he has left a hugh hole in our hearts and lives. i vowed i would keep him for a life and i have full filled that dream, Rhydian is at home with me now and thats where he will stay and his memory will live on. I am so glad our paths crossed and Rhydian helped me to full fill my dream thank you Valiant Rhydian 2001-2014

so sorry to read this...It was me who bought him as a foal from the sales to be a stallion. He was turned out into a huge field for grazing with another colt to keep him company... He came in with a very bad cut that was down to the bone. Vet called ( won't say his name ) He asked me was he insured? How much was he worth? and then advised that it was going to cost at least £3000 in vet fees and the chances of him coming sound was nearly nil. So on his advice we arranged for him to be PTS..... then my daughter-in-law said please don't have him PTS. She said that she had a friend who would take him and try to save him with holistic healing. So this is what I did. And she did save his life and healed him. I did have him offered back to me at the cost of his medication. But I had by then bought another horse. I am so glad that you gave him such a good and happy home. I have often thought about him and what had happened to him. I am so sorry for your loss... no words can make the hurt any less. but please know but for you and the Lady who you bought him from (who healed him ) he would not have had any life --so thank you.... Said goodbye to a dear old friend today.
If the day should come when i'm in pain and you know i won't be well again promise me you'll do what must be done if this is the battle which can't be won it'll break your heart, but please be kind don't let your grieving sway your mind for this is when you'll let me see just how much you do love me together we've had many happy years the future now can hold no fears please don't let me suffer and when that day comes, please let me go for my usual vet please will you send? but stay with me until the end hold me steady, speak to me till my once bright eyes no longer see in time i hope you'll come to see it's the last kindness you'll do for me one more time please stroke my mane and know that i'll have no more pain and don’t be sad that it was you who decided that this was what to do we've been such buddies through the years don't let me be the cause of tears you'll always see me graze now with the sun upon my back painful limbs won't tire me now however long the hack i live now in your heart and mind a lovely place to stay and what you have in memories no one can take away
