Tuesday we arrived after our 3 hour journey with not a peep from both boys, set up camp in the wind with our gazebo, to soon realise we needed to move the lorry to block the wind from it, anyway mum ran over the gazebo leg in the process so that was the end of that laugh.gif Got the ponies into there stables after walking round aimlessly trying to find the stable manager, i had walked past her twice and not noticed, oops! Then went on a hack round the show ground with some friends from Facebook!
Wednesday we had 3 classes, C&D Training, M&M Large Training, and Amateur D exc 148cm
Troy was a star in both training classes, had a wrong leg but the judge said i just needed to plan my show better and wait till i asked for the canter to reduce the chance of a wrong leg, and we didn't have one all week after that, Jumped all the jumps in worker training and didn't place in the Amateur class but it was full of lovely ponies
Thursday was ABSOLOUTLEY HECTIC
8.36 my dressage time was given didn't actually go in to do my test till an hour later, something to do with confusion over start times and breakfast, anyway did a lovely test to score 29.5/ 70.5%, then jumped round the XC phase over worker jumps just had 2 down, i rode too defensively at them, as i was THAT determined to get him round and i so wanted to be in the top 10
Then a mad rush to get christie ready for his ridden novice class where he was a complete star, did all his cantering on the go round and just generally went lovely, was a little babyish in his show but no wrong legs so I'm happy, anyway i think we finished in 11th as the judge moved people round after there shows, which i am thrilled with, then i had to mad dash back to get Troy tacked up, didn't even change my boots, trotted down to the sj ring and went straight in for the sj phase of the eventing, if i hadn't declared earlier they would have shut the class but they knew i was around somewhere so waited for me which was lovely of the ring stewards! Went and jumped a brilliant clear round 85cm, then a slightly less rush, and over for some food, my first food of the day at half 2! and then i had christie in novice inhand, no placing but he was a sweetie. THEN onto the Novice worker with Troy, jumped a lovely clear round a really tight twisty track and finished 11th, 9 marks behind the winner and 1 mark out of the placings on 81 out of 100 so i was over the moon! He needs to learn changes really to try up his style mark i think as i have to come back to trot to change legs at the moment. OH and i got into the evening performance for the eventing presentation, he bounced in and cantered for a few minutes but settled down slightly, even stood still for a while until the winner was announced and whooping happened
heres a video of his dressage and one of the clear round sj and the novice worker, the eventing presentation and the dressage

Friday was far more chilled out, i just had christie equifest inhand final, no placing in that either.
and then i had the traditional concours, didn't get through to the top 10 but had fun dressing up for the first time.
Saturday i put a late entry in for the open worker, 90cm
he jumped smashing but idiot pilot was that busy concentrating on not running the pole picker over didn't realise that 5 comes after 4 and not 7, so i was eliminated through jumping the wrong fence, absolutely gutted as he was flying. Pulled chris out of the home produced a class as it ran late, and we were both tired. So finished with pairs. Really got my hopes up too much of getting through as we were identical but it wasn't to be.
Now he's jumping I'm going to do lots of hunter trials and stuff over winter and some unaffiliated show jumping, if we can successfully get round metre+ courses I'm going to try some qualifiers!
