My hairy baby has lived out all winter and has done well on ad lib hay and a feed of alfa oil with a few cubes in it and has done well. He could do with a small amout of building up ready for the show season. I do not want hi fat by any means but would like to see a little more on his neck / rump.
Any suggestions appreciated. ;D

This is not direct advice but try contacting the helpline for Allen and Page feeds. I did and they were so helpfull, got information leaflets and money off voucher through the post too!

My hairies are all like whales, except for one, a leaner 4yo gelding I have put it down to the fact that I think he likes playing more. I am trying to put a bit more 'meat on his bones' and he is having a conditioning mix, a cereal, I like baileys no 1 and a conditioning fibre. I feed him more frequently than the girls. He doesnt have the urge to eat continually and tends to be nosier and play more, the girls are just dedicted to eating, it seems to be their hobby. ( like myself) He has ad lib hay and soya oil and Im hoping that he will plump up a little, otherwise he will look like Mr Bean in the ring!
