Its that time of year again!
Where i start looking back on what we've done through the year, Heres a few clips!

I had some bad times with Troy, he learnt that if he didn't want to do something, a suitable way to get out of it was going up! This seemed to manifest itself at such inappropriate times! Such as lincoln show where we were trotting away from the judge, and he replied with actually i would rather stay here with these horses, reared and then carried on and did one of his best shows this season (despite a swapped leg in the gallop)
Have had some good times though! Qualified for BSPS winter champs in novice workers, big risk taking him as he spent the past 2 years saying no to jumping at shows, went to the final, jumped beautiful but had such an unlucky pole, without the pole taking the 10 marks off he would have placed 7th! Had him doing dressage, qualified for Trailblazers finals at novice level, wasn't extremely successful at the finals having our lowest scores in a year but think it was such a different atmosphere to what he is used to he just couldn't concentrate (6 different rings going at once with only 1 pony in and judge cars beeping or ringing a bell!) He had the same dressage score as the winner of the equifest eventing but had 2 down due to my defensive riding as i so wanted to get him over the fences! Now i've qualified him for trailblazer second rounds at both Novice and elementary so hopefully we can work towards the finals in both levels, and affiliate, he's 11 this time so I've decided i really need to stop focussing soley on the golden ticket when we aren't even getting placed in the qualifiers and just have fun! He's going to do the odd worker qualifier if i can find my brave pants!
Christie has also had a wonderful year, he's been on a cross country trail ride, jumped some of the big fence options! and also went xc schooling around a 7 mile hacking track! cantering in public clicked with him about may time, went champion in june at a sash show winning our first sash together, then won a rug at the same show in the grassroots supreme, i haven't done overly much with him but he's been placed every time out ridden except equifest which was a big ask for him but he behaved like a saint and i THINK we came 11th in the novice. finished the season being pulled 3rd in the Olympia at CSL and dropping to 4th with just a baby moment in the show but having just 1 mark below the highest conf mark (who was also the winner), he finished his season qualifying NPS spring festival in novice and BSPS winters in winter winners and restricted, just needs his novice! Going to do a handful of quals with him next season if he can keep up the placings
Anyway a selection of my favourite photos in order of the year!
Heres Christie in January with his opinion to cantering
