Hi everyone,
I haven't been on here in a while (I used to be Kate and Lucky) so thought I'd update you.
I still have Willow aka Asbo, here are some photos of her over the last few months or so......She was 3 in July and I have now broken her in, she's so good - leads, goes in the middle, goes behind, is bombproof in traffic and doesn't bat an eyelid if the other horses go off. She does however refuse to go through water unless you get off and lead her into it first! This resulted in me been took to hospital as I decided to try and lead her through off my other horse - well she decided to leap into us, knocking him straight over on top of me. Luckily I wasn't that badly hurt - mainly bruising but internal and external.
In the last 6 months or so we've moved yards three times as our farm closed down due to the farmer retiring, we moved to a private showing yard about a 25 min drive away but the grazing wasn't the best, then we moved to a yard that was just starting up and was about 5 mins from the showing yard but it was too far for me to get to when I don't drive, especially in winter. We are now at a lovely riding school and livery yard that's a 15 minute walk from my house and a 20 minute walk from my workplace.
Anyway here are some photos
First time she was properly sat on with tack and ridden anywhere:
And first time she was hacked out:
Recently:
I no longer have Sox as I gave him up when I moved to this yard, but in May I did take on another horse. He is called Prince and is a 17 year old cob gelding (although his passport says welsh section d!). He had no feathers as he gets itchy legs but had a full double sided mane, when I took him on I hogged him as wanted to show him.
Here he is:
The first day I had him:
