It is with great sadness that today we lost Cache.
He had developed colic last Wednesday resulting in surgery, which went extremely well, with no portion of the gut needing to be removed.
However today it became apparent that his condition was worsening and it was no longer fair to let him struggle and so we let him join the Bushell Show Team in heaven.
It was such a shock, as we are used to having all our ponies living long and healthy lives in retirement and Vix was looking forward to competing again, and including Senior Showing classes with him in 2015, and was already back in the saddle following baby Jessica's birth on September 20th.
Our last pictures of him were taken on Remembrance weekend, when Jessica also had her first ride on him with her mummy (& loved it!)
RIP Cache we will miss you and how fitting that your last show achieved Vix's ambition for you to finally get into the EP at the Cherif, despite your obvious dislike of the venue every other year, and resulting in a mention in Horse and Hound!
