Lodge Farm Equestrian Centre will be hosting a STALLION PARADE on Saturday 28th February.
This will be a unique opportunity to see at first hand a wide variety of the Country’s Best Sires, many of which are rarely seen in public. Davina Whiteman had agreed to compere the event, bringing with her an incomparable knowledge of bloodlines and breeding. Already confirmed from North Yorkshire are three of Jerome Harforth’s Top Sires as well as Julie Judge’s four times ‘Cuddy’ finalist ‘Heavenly Boy Blue’ and Rebecca Walker’s prolific winning coloured stallion ‘Stormhill Mink’. It is the intention to include representatives of as many breeds and types of horses and ponies as possible.
This will be an amazing opportunity for breeders to see stallions first hand, whilst with modern technology people can sit at home and search for a suitable Sire, this is no substitute for seeing a horse in the flesh showing off his talents in whichever discipline he excels.
The event already has fantastic support from Dodson & Horell who will be sending Chloe Bristow M.A (cantab) Vet M.E.B MRCVS who will give a short talk on feeding broodmares during pregnancy, following the birth, and how to feed foals, young stock and Stallions. Blue Chip Feeds and Spillers are also supporting the venture. There will also be an AI specialist available for you to discuss any queries you might have regarding this method of breeding.
If you wish to book a space for a stallion, at £20 per stallion (places are limited), or buy tickets to spectate for £5 per person, (children under 16 are free) please contact Ann Chadwick on 01782 551961, 07989642204, email info@lodgefarmriding.co.uk or ring Julie Judge on 07929416744.
Stallion Entries by the 24th of January please
