Really disappointed with the photos in ring 7 on Tuesday, not enough photographers for the number of rings imo. Hope Wednesday was better They are the same every year like you say not enough photographers. There was ONE picture of my pony from Tuesday. One was so disappointed. Bought the only one and it wasn't even very good lol.

I don't think there were any of our 3 year old and the announcer was telling people off for taking photos which really annoyed me. Oh, and what on earth were the trying to achieve by having that tiny collecting ring for all 6 rings in ring 7? They kept going on about health and safety but I'm surprised there wasn't an accident with all those horse in such a small space on Tuesday morning. Apart from that we had a great day lol

It is a huge bugbear of mine that announcers try and tell competitors off as they see fit! To not take photos of your own ponies in the ring is outrageous! If these photo companies were a little more realistic with their prices we would be more inclined to purchase them but I'm am not spending £16+ on one photograph! If they were £10 a photo in sure they would sell a lot more as when they used to be that much I bought lots of them! I understand there's travelling and ink and staff and so on and so on but it's my own opinion that if the prices were more realistic there would be so much more sold! Rant over ?

I must admit I did go look at photos and there was the odd one or 2 I could have picked out but they were £15.50 each for the smallest size with only £1 concession for multiple purchases. I usually buy up to 3 pictures which range from £25 - £30 for all 3. I can go with this but £45 for 3. It's a bit steep. So I didn't buy any.

That is very annoying No-one can stop you taking photographs in a public place, it is perfectly legal to take photos at a horse show as long as you are not interfering with the classes, and as long as you don't intend to sell the photos. However, the official photographers have a lot more to pay for than travelling, ink and staff, they will have had to pay a massive fee to the show to be there, and their vehicles, trade stands, cameras, PCs and printers all have to be paid for. The price of event photos has gone through the roof though, and they must realise that 2 or 3 photos sold at £10 each is £20 or £30, while no photos sold at £15+ is nothing!

If they saw my mothers photos that she takes at the ringside they wouldn't have anything to worry about haha! Agree with above, a lot of smaller local shows do offers like 3 for £20 or something I covered a show the other month (never again will i try do 5 rings by myself) and had a multi purchase offer on and i sold plenty, it actually does make people buy another that they might not even want, but will buy just because its an offer!
