If you do non-M&M classes you will need to plait him and trim him more than you probaby would for M&M classes (not sure on exact rules for connies, I know welshies better !) There are usually plenty of M&M ridden classes and of different societies/levels. As a 4yr old I would just stick to doing a few Novice M&M classes and maybe breed classes at Connemara shows too, and that will be plenty. You dont want to blow their brains too young !
