Vet coming next week but anyone got any ideas in the meantime? My 19 year old pony is out on loan just around the corner from me. He's 11.2 and loaned by a knowledgeable lady for her teeny 5 year old daughter. They only do lead rein type stuff so no big gallops or jumping. I told them when he went that he has had some dust issues in the past and can only have soaked hay or haylage and no straw beds etc but almost since he went he's had a cough. After some investigation it turned out one of the other liveries were putting dry hay into the field while they were turned out and he was eating that. Told them to stop and they did and it seemed to resolve the issue. But now it seems that he's coughing again. This time only on exertion ( not that he's really doing much-only small trots and occasional lunging) The loaner is doing everything right. He's in an end stable near the doors in a barn style block of stables, having soaked hay or haylage (fed from the floor) and on dust extracted shavings. He seems otherwise well and no snot or coughing anything up. Any other ideas that she can try in the meantime
