Ridgehill Eloise. (tardebigge Enid x Davids Cymro Llwyd) Bear with - it's long and totally honest but should save wasting anyone's time........
Eloise is a 14.3 fully registered 7 year old (this year) section D mare that we have owned for coming up 3 years. Her breeding and movement speak for themselves and we are well aware of just how lovely she is. We bought her with the intention of keeping her as a broodmare but have so far failed to cover her Inhand, running with or with an outside stallion. This is the ONLY reason she is for sale. She is cycling as normal and ovulating just extremely unwilling to accept a stallion. We could pursue the route of sedating OR AI but feel that for US it is a sign that she does not want to be a mummy and would be far happier with a ridden career.
Eloise is NOT for the faint hearted - I would describe her as an extremely well behaved stallion In Temprement. Many would describe her as a typical section D - She thrives on and craves human attention - is extremely affectionate and has a wonderful sense of humour! I trust her around my 3 children wouldn't dream of biting or kicking. She has wonderful manners but on a "snort and blow" day can be joggy to lead, and will bronk in her stable if I dare to turn out one of the others instead of her lol she is very bossy in the field definitely an alpha mare. We backed her last year without ANY problems she was going off the leg and proving very sensible.
She is not a spooky mare, super to catch and loads fine (can fidget until you get going but never been a problem traveller) She was put on the back burner at weaning time then winter kicked in and we haven't done anything with her since. She will be easy to reback although she is the type that will take couple of weeks to settle into her new home. The type of home we would be looking for is not necessarily a top show home - I want her to have a "normal" life with her own mummy or daddy with showing as a bonus.
I am not in any rush to sell and we feel the price tag is more than reasonable for a mare of Eloise's quality - we would however "consider" a part exchange (proven easy broodmare OVER 15h of the same quality) we are on the essex / Suffolk borders near Colchester and can organise delivery anywhere in Europe £2500Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted
