Many many thanks to everyone who came and supported the show it was amazing ! 36 in the ring in Connie /NF and 34 MM LR ! Good classes in all the non HOYS and some lovely ponies / horses . The most incredible fancy dress of an air ambulance but so glad this year we had no need of it !
4 riders on the pathway are off to HOYS everyone put so much effort into the training and it is a good stepping stone for Amateur riders good luck to you all !
Onley had the ground in tip top condition , are the most helpful crew and do yummy food, our stewards were efficient and cheerful and we hope the judging was fair and best of all only 30 mins of light rain over 2 days !!!!
We know we cant get it all right so let us know any ideas or comments. The LR/ FR ring ran late and then some classes clashed so more time for classes in that ring next year, the Horsezone Regional Finals had prelim judging and that caused confusion so we will probably scrap that next year,as far as we know we only made one mistake on final placings and that was a 10th place and the rider will be sent her rosette.
Over to you .....See you next year !

Can I state how disappointed I was (and I was not alone!) by the course building in the WH ring. A double incorporating a style to planks and then on to another style set quite close to the corner and high solid wooden ringside wall is not encouraging in any way for Novice ponies and riders and unfortunately this was shown in the lack of any under 122 ponies and little jockeys getting through. Later in the day the 'intro' class still had this very tricky combination. Please could someone explain to the course builder in future that we are trying to encourage our little ones and not kill them off!

Had a lovely time on Saturday - the weather was fab until right near the end of the day - but even then it didn't dampen the spirits. On the plus side - the bigger ring for the pre-judging of the in-hand championships was very welcome. The new layout in front of the secretary and Rings 1A and 1B was great for spectators.
Can these be improved ...... ? - Trade stands nearer to the rings. May require a rethink of horse access / working in - but ponies / horses could work in where the trade stands are - and then have a horse walk to the bottom rings ? - Ice Cream van (on hot days) would be welcome (unless one was there and I missed it!) - Training / education for the staff serving the food - they were very slow :-( and did quite a bit of standing around when there were customers queued up - 5 championships at the end of the day on Saturday - only 3 of which were really supported (one forward for the Pony and 3 forward for the Horse. Should we just stick with the M&M, Amateur and Cuddy? - a little better announcements / information on classes - the in-handers for the Intermediates were stood around for over an hour in the heat waiting for the classes to start without any information - which was due (we eventually found out) to the judge still judging the Riding Horse classes.
But we still had a fab time :-)
Thank You

So very very hot yesterday! Just a suggestion but could we please have a tannoy by the worker ring! I personally thought the course builder did a good job, nothing too terrifying, especially as people were complaining, it was too big, too small! So dont think he could win either way! Another couple of suggestions, the worker ring yesterday ran quite over time, and as a result I had to miss the small SRT class because we couldnt hear the calls for the class, and also, despite the judges/stewards doing their best, it was quite chaotic at times, there wasnt a huge amount in the whp classes, hence why we entered the small srt as we should've had plenty of time to go and do it - but unfortunately, the whp ring was held several times for competitors, which is fine, but then as a result we missed our class and then couldnt get out entry back which was a shame. Agree with above, Ice cream van was in desperate need yesterday!!

It was very hot thank goodness for a breeze! I realise with low pre entries it's hard to make a call sometimes but there's so much space at Onley it's a shame Ring 2 (Sunday) was a bit tight for the intermediate classes. It was ok, but with a couple of naughty ones in each class and horses that can really look fab with the space to get going it's a shame the ring couldn't have been a little bit bigger.
Also just seen the marks - I'm happy enough with the placings etc but did you realise that class 134 hasn't been signed by the judges?

Lovely show, our first visit and will probably join TSR next year based on the visit. Regards to feedback agree with trade stands nearer to the rings so can browse whilst friends are working in / waiting for class to start. Also more toilets, unless I missed another block. Only noticed 3 together, one was out of use on Sunday and another was certainly out of bounds (unless very brave). Long queue at times for the remaining loo which had an interesting swaying motion 😄. Very organised secretary's tent.

Pipandwill I find the worker ring to be so remote its like another show ! Onley wont let us jump on the grass so cannot have it closer will sort out the tannoy and please message me your address or name and we will have a look at a refund.
Haggismarmite thanks for the post. I was watching and thought it could have been a bit longer will address that next year. Slap on the wrist for not signed will make sure that is done.
Livamino so glad you enjoyed the show and so agree about the toilets. There is a permanent block the other end of the showground but its miles to walk. I had my own loo roll with me it was that bad ! Things like loos cost us a lot of dosh but two things will happen : double the number and we are going to employ someone on the day to check things like that and help us clear up and keep it tidy. The show has grown so much we need more help !
Will tell the girls in the Secretary tent they work hard all day and it is a pressure cauldron !!
