I think the Sec B class is the one with the issue over marks - not incorrectly added but a ponys number being missed out on transferring to final results. Truly gutted for all concerned, we picked it up on way home when someone sent accross the marks and we were looking at ours. However on a brighter note well done to Zara Johnstone and Pumphill Fandango what a show - 1st Junior Ridden and Ist in a MASSIVE HOYS Lead Rein yesterday with her son Toby on board. So pleased for you all. Also congrats to Jess Mathews and Rivervalley Roger for winning the HOYS C class - wish we had still been there to see your faces! So well deserved a lovely family and looking forward to being in the ring with you at HOYS.

I personally think the highlands were a little unfairly judged! I've never seen Valerock St George look so good! Is it just me that thinks that pony has been overlooked a million times this year? I've seen him out and about at a lot of qualifiers this year and today he really shone. He may be a small highland but oh my would I take him home! The thing is, there is an awful lot of beautiful ponies in these Hoys M&M classes and a variety of different types within each breed, you really do need two judges who particularly like your type of pony and the way he goes on the day to even get a look in. There are many proven Hoys/Olympia ponies still yet to qualify, it really is tough out there

Thank you fizzbomb such a lovely thing to say the lovely George we have the pleasure of owning and he is the most fantastic pony to have around! We have had a mixed year yes i agree - but i guess i have seen a few more showgrounds that I have never been too Was so pleased with him yesterday but equally as over the moon for the guys who Q as they are lovely people who try like us are trying their hardest to get that place in the final and their dreams have just been granted. Georgie boy has a couple of attempts left this season and then thats it - I take the best pony home

Has anyone got the ds??? Slightly worrying - it's hardly surprising marks get added up incorrectly, total marks get 'overlooked' and ponies not placed who should be etc etc when it appears that it is not even possible to get the date right... I thought we were in 2016, not 2014!!!

Does that say gelding & mare on the left side? Why would that need to be commented on? (Or am I being totally daft)

In what way were the Highlands unfairly judged? As a steward in the ring at the time I can tell you that those ponies were judged fair and square by two excellent well respected judges. As someone who spent 3 hot, rainy windy days stewarding at NPS I can tell you that every judge I stewarded under did a cracking job and appreciated the lovely ponies before them.

I have never seen so many wrong legs as there were Thursday in the HOYS Sec D qualifier, even out boy Soden Gwynfor managed one,he had a good pull though 3rd out of 32 lovely cobs, well done to the winner, ridden by Sarah Parker

nonetheless, the ground was the same for everyone and so very well done to the winners of those classes

Here here Firstly I am totally over the moon for Libby and Oscar , these 2 judges were perfect for this pony on both way of going type and Conf regardless to who judged what part Secondly there were still lots of lovely ponies who are equally worthy of getting that golden ticket left in the line up
