Yes there is a big 24 hr Tesco at Sepentine Green shopping centre in Hampton in Peterborough. There is also a large Co Op at Orton Centre which is closer, free parking for the first 2 hours but you'll need to get a ticket for the car windscreen. Both pretty easy to find on the map and straight forward to get to

Both pretty easy to find on the map and straight forward to get to I think there is also a Chinese takeaway there which wasn't bad.

I think the literature does state that you cannot move but im not sure if that depends where you are parked? I parked on the hard standing last year (outside the barrier) and was able to leave and come back. I think the cut off point is 6pm so just nip out and get what you need then they have to allow some movement for those booked in at local hotels and need to go in and out to do evening stables etc

Ive not been able to leave the showground for the past 3 years because we have a lorry now but 4 years ago we had a trailer and I left because I had to go any buy a new blow up bed!! You will need to check with security (gate 3 I think) but they are lovely guys and if you stop and talk to them I am sure they will let you back in! They do not like cars moving around though during the day for obvious reasons - there are too many horses, kids, parents and grannies moving around too! I think the other gates lock at 9pm but gate 3 stays open all the time as there is a large security presence. Walk over there and talk to them. There is a shop on site that sells milk, butter, bread, tea, coffee etc. There is also plenty of hot food on site. Last year from what I can remember there was a noodle bar, toastie bar (vvvv expensive though for what it is!!), amazing fish and chips bar, burger bars and the most amazing pizza bar ever!! Really hope that this there this year!! ;-)
