My 16hh Dressage mare, has a tiny mouth. She is in a pee wee for schooling and a little myler for dressage.
I want to get her into a double, but her mouth is so little, and myler dont do bits for doubles.
Any advice from you showing experts on the best bits for little mouths?

Why don't you just put her in a pelham if she only has a small mouth, that way you only have the one bit x

If you want to puit her in a proper double then I would recommend that you talk to Peter Wilkinson at Fylde Saddlery he has all sorts of bits of differing thicknesses etc.

Thanks for that. Pelhams not allowed for dressage, so has to be 2 bits. I will speak to Peter.

Thanks, I can remember using one of those, years ago, but couldnt remember the name. Does anyone make a shank without a nutcracker? These days all the dressage horses have lozenges or similar, for their snaffles. I wonder why Myler dont make a double?

I have looked too, and no you are right, sorry, they always did....... Had a huge selection, I used to work at a saddlery and we used them alot, and I personally had bits made from them. Maybe give them a ring.
