My little Section A mare can be quite stressy , she is very attached to the other little mare who she lives with, they are turned out 24/7 on a paddock with not much grass. Her stools can be quite loose at times, but if we ever go out to a rally or show, and the two of them are separated, she has what I can only describe as explosive liquid droppings, they go all over her tail and legs( lovely as you are about to go in the ring!)This happened 3 times at the weekend in the space of about 20 minutes. I do feel sorry for her, I just wondered whether there is any gut balancer or something that would settle her stomach? She is fed Good Doer and Lo Cal balancer, with hay twice a day .I had her on a calmer last year, but she doesn't really need it as if she is on her own anywhere she doesn't get upset, it's just when the other pony is taken away. I can't separate them as my other field has far too much grass.Any advice welcome, thanks.

We used to use NAF Biotics and pink powder on ours when needed

We use Protexin Quick Fix when we are showing (hairy cob does the same thing - and trying to clean feather and a tail is a nightmare!!) - I buy it from Hyperdrug, but if you phoned Protexin and speak to one of their advisors they would tell you how much to give. 01460 243230 - they are very helpful. I also give it to our mare who suffers with ulcers as she gets stressy so it helps there too even though she doesn't particularly become loose. It is a probiotic. Good luck

I have used most of the products on the market to try and stop liquid droppings at shows :-( not much works! Heard good things about Bio sponge from the vets! I have also started using brewers yeast daily which is helping! I also tried the very expensive equishure & rite trac Both worked for a couple of days! But not great long term x
