All the above...plus: Good parking ....where people who cant reverse a trailer DONT NEED TO Aah those were the days! I never managed to fully be in control of the trailer in tight spaces or when watched! Whenever I was asked to park, in what I thought was a ridiculously small space, I always gave fair warning to the parking steward 'I will get it iin but getting it out will be your problem' This nearly always raised a laugh and eyebrows together with an 'ok' I always tried to get to the show ground early so I could do a sweeping turn and place the trailer where I could just drive forward to get out Lol! My old rusty little lorry has no power steering so when I go out I'm torn between tucking it in a corner in shame so it looks like a rusting farm relic that's been there years or parking it front and centre nestled between the posh lorries for easy exit and trying to style out the huge amounts of embarrassment

To add to the already excellent suggestions, can more shows accept on line entries ( we don't have a cheque book account) with deadlines that aren't weeks before. If most county shows can do this for show-jumping why not showing? Personally I don't mind if I am in or out of the catalogue which is the normal reason given, but as an amateur I cant always book time off or know which pony to take until days not weeks before.

Totally agree. Some County Shows close entries at least a couple of months before show dates Not only do we pay out lots of cash we also run the risk of not being able to attend due to either jockey or horse injury!

Another in agreement for this. We entered 5 for Cheshire this year and ended up only taking 2 for one reason or another.
