Looking for a project that we can bring on over summer for a friend to then have for her son. Must be sane with no vices however being green is expected. The ideal pony will have been backed and can walk trot and canter under saddle, no buckers. must be happy to be brushed by a child and be friendly enough to stand on the yard to be bathed etc. Will be on a show jumping yard where they will be part of the family and a best friend to this little boy. Ideally a pony that someone no longer has the time for, that has the potential to be a child's best friend/ pony club pony. Reasonable budget for the right pony in the Nottingham/derby area or will travel slightly further for the right pony. I have a pony who may be what you are looking for.
I am based just North of Manchester so probably about
an hour or so away.
Charm is a 13hh 8yo shp who we got last year when he
had just been backed- he was a field companion prior to that.
We bought him to bring on for top level showing but sadly we
have not had time due to unforeseen circumstances. He is the most
lovely boy to handle, groom, in the stable etc, just loves people
and he is good to ride(ridden by an 11yo girl) . He has been to
a few shows and had some good results and has also won on his
only 2 dressage outings but I honestly feel he has a lot more to give
and we don't have the time. He will also pop a fence.
Poppy is devastated that he has to be sold but we feel that he needs to
be in an all round home with one child to call his own.
Lots of photos and video available and a loving home essential.
Up to date with vaccs, worming etc. I was hoping to get £3000 for him
but would negotiate for the right home.
