I suspect that the hair will not re grow due to it's position, the new hair is being rubbed away. I have not been able to open the pictures, but I bet if you went on holiday for 2 weeks when you returned you would find some hair growth.

This may sound a little random - however, try rubbing lard on it!! Years ago I had a dog with bald ears and my vet suggested I did it - I looked at him as though he had lost the plot but he told me to go home and try it and it worked! 8 years ago I had a horse with a bacterial infection on her back which left a bald patch. I had forgotten about the lard trick but a friend suggested I tried it, which made me remember my terrier so I tried it and it worked!
