Recently purchased a new shetland project 'Houdini' (that's a whole other story of woe!) and I duly sent off the payment and passport for change of ownership (even though the old owner should have done it) and it has been brought to my attention that the pony is still down as a colt - he is a 3yo gelding.
I mean Arghhhhh! So .... how do you think I should go about changing this? Do I just get my vet out to have a quick feel around or should I send the passport back to the breeder (last owner) for them to speak to the vet who did the deed?
Thanks all

Is there a section that can be filled in by your vet to state they have examined the pony & confirm he has been gelded? If you return to the breeder it may take a while for it to come back (especially if they incur costs from their vet having to do the paperwork!)
