Hello Everyone,
Desperate for suggestions on how to remove black pony make up from the jacket I was judging in.
I was planning to wear this jacket at my nieces wedding, lovely new fascinator bought for the occasion. as I was judging way of going thought I would be save from this stuff.
To date the following have been tried. Wet wipes at the time, lighter fuel and acetone. All without success. I have just tried to ring products company but they are closed.
Any other ideas? A

You could try ironing over kitchen towel, or try spraying with a stain remover, or last resort spray and dab with diluted bleach. Obviously I do not know what the material is so please be careful.

Hi, you don't say what colour your jacket is, but i remove oil and black makeup from my daughters in hand jackets with neat washing up liquid, put it on the marks and gently rub it i n with your finger, I leave it on over night, but a few hours would probably do, then carefully rinse the stained area. Hope this helps.

I would take jacket to dry cleaners and ask their advice
I don't mean to sound mean but am amazed you would wear wedding outfit or part of it to a horse show. One thing you can guarantee is that, if the horses don't muck it up, the dusty ring will
Hope you get it sorted in time for the wedding

The jacket is a bright lime green, viscose/ polymide/ elastane so heavy but fragile by Hobbs. I had worn it to RIHS for show ponies lasts year and fine in all that wet, and been judging lots of classes for years and been fine. Never picked up any marks in my eBay bargains Everyone had said the GYS was very smart and as it was so hot the previous day judging hundreds of lovely M & M, I had changed twice due to the heat I was on the third (reserve) outfit. S-----e Products have suggested brake fluid !!!! I think the fabric will dissolve, very worrying for ponies skins. Off to the dry cleaners tomorrow and then perhaps shopping !!! Thanks you everyone

Good luck ajg, hope you are successful in having the black stain removed and perhaps you will let us all know how you got it removed (if you do) as I'm sure there are lots of other people who would be grateful for the info

its probably a bit late but I find facewipes (not baby wipes) are the best for removing this sort of thing. Look for ones that say they remove waterproof mascara. Like the Simple cleansing wipes.
