I've had my fill with rip off horse insurance this year so I cancelling it. Bhs covers me public liability so my next important thing is saddlery insurance, any suggestions who to use?

Mines kept at home and named on the house insurance. I find all horse insurance tack cover a pain in the rear. There are so many stipulations and exclusions, it’s so hard to be well and truly covered.

Your tack is covered in your house by your usual contents cover when in the house, and then whilst in transit by that or vehicle insurance. The challenge is when it is in a tack room. I insure mine through the buildings and contents cover I have extending to cover my barn and tack room. Hope that makes sense.

Nfu mutual were our insurers when toe rags cleared us out. They were fantastic. New for old on everything. No quibbles and we were desperate as it was a week before Equifest. They just wanted photos of what we wanted to replace which we mostly had but now have pictures of everything. Would never use anyone else for tack, horses or home insurance.

It's kept in tack room, the yard has been cleared out twice in the past 3 years (prior to us moving on). NFU let us down when our lorry broke down which puts me off using them again for anything. All I seem to be able to find is saddlery as an add on to something else
