was wondering??!! also who in the right mind gives 100k lorries as a prize? had considered doing this with a pony of ours though!! lol modified to add...6000 minimum entries, so they would make 20k profit, mmm,im very wary of these things and some scams look so real...dont think its worth the risk even for the sake of 20 quid!

And if they dont get the minimum 6000 entries they have the right to cancel the competition and return your money less 25% which they keep

No it is not a scam, and without knowing the facts that is a very unfair comment to make.
I can understand some people being sceptical, but this has taken well over 6 months to put together and we used one of the largest law firms in Manchester to make sure our T and C are legal and compliant. The terms have to be set to a certain standard and contain obviously clauses to protct both ABI and the the ticket purchaser .
This has been approved by the gaming commission and the advertising standards agency.
We are a reputable horsebox company with a very good reputation and yes of course we have a minimum number of tickets to sell, but somebody will win the lorry we have only been running the draw for 2 weeks and have already sold a quarter of the ticket allocation.
This will give somebody the opportunity to win a lorry which for most people they could simply not afford to buy.

problem is people on here know of a previous scam! so will be very wary!! and i also think at a cost of 20quid you shouldnt have to answer questions to have a chance!! i know its a big prize, but still !! so what happens if you only get 5999 entries? do you keep 25% of the money?

As you know I'm probabley the most skeptical person on here, but I did have a look around the lorry and spoke to the people involved at Staffs County, I have to say I was very inpressed with what I saw and heard, so I'm having 20 quids worth, The fact that these people are carting this lorry up and down the country for you to have a look at and are there to answer any questions is a lot different to the other lorry that people had all the trouble with. It's up to you if you want to take part but please if you have any questions just ring them they could not of been more helpfull

I was told about a previous lorry scam, we do not operate our business to con people, this is all above board. Ok so lets say we are one entry short - of course the draw will go ahead, if you read the T and C we can go ahead, with alot less than the required entries. Secondly we HAVE to, by law, ask the 6 questions, because this is a prize draw which has to be a game of skill and not like the lottery which is a game of chance. Those are the legal requirements, not just something thought up by ABI but this is what the gaming commmission have asked of us to make the draw compliant. Thirdly somebody mentioned we make a 20K profit, with any profits over and above the cost of the lorry a large proportion of that is going to be donated to 3 equine charities, and as i witnessed Carolines horrific accident last week at Staffs - Mark Davies injured riders fund will now be one of those. Half pass thank you so much for your positive comments, we are taking the lorry to 18 shows over the summer so people can "touch and feel" what they could win. Its a shame you didnt intoduce your self last week at staffs county, we could have had a nice glass of vino!!! next time though you must come and say hello properly.xxxx becky xx.
