Please can I have a reply to my question re what happens after the 20 working day rule. The existing certificate becomes invalid and the details are added to the list of invalid certificates on the website when we next update it.

The Politician is well outside the 20 working day rule and is still showing as pending. We wait for all the reports and blood test results to be confirmed. This horse was re-measured in time.

I had my 4 year old SRT measured last year to join bsps etc. I rang bsps to see if he needs another this year to join and they said no, only need one if/when he qualifies for RI or HOYS. is this, as I thought you needed one every year to join up to 7 years when they can have a full cert.
Thanks

Thanks JMB rules state that annual certificates only last until 31st December in the year they are measure, after that another measurement is required. Some societies do have there own rules that are different. If no measurement between 4 and 7 years of age "who knows" what height the animal is during this time!?

certainly for HOYS qualifiers, Intermediates are the same as other plaited pony classes and the valid height certificate must be lodged with which ever society your pony is registered with, be that BSPS, PUK, TSR or NPS. I don't know why BSPS would tell you otherwise. Check the HOYS rules on www.hoys.co.uk and each class has its own setof rules.

Please could you confirm how the re-measurement process works if a horse is called for remeasuring, presents and posts a recorded height but the re-measurement is subsequently deemed invalid with the relevant invalidating rule being stated on the jmb website. Can the horse be re-measured again for a second time, at a lower height than the invalidated previous re-measurement? This appears to have happened at least twice in the past two years with ponies apparently measuring out upon recall but then being re-measured for a second time and measuring in. It would be helpful to understand the process as it causes a lot of upset for their riders when ponies measure out so it would be good to know that all is not necessarily lost!

Under the rules the results of re-measurements are final and binding.
The only way a further re-m would be carried out is if the stewards decided to allow one. An owner would have to have a very persuasive argument to convince the stewards the result of the re-m was in doubt.

The JMB office telephones will not be manned from 11th to 17th September 2014. Measurements will be processed and posted out routinely(subject to the normal cheque clearing cycle).

Hi
Looking at the website I see that the vets that measure the horses/ponies receive £56.40 including VAT, and the JMB £26.60. Is it up to each individual vet whether to charge an extra 'callout' fee, or is this now usual? I have never come across this before until booking in certificates this year.
Many thanks

It doesn't need one to do hoys classes only if the pony qualifies then it will need to be measured.

When I competed at the ri in the catalogue all the m&m's had their exact height stated so presumed it was required.

jmbsec just wondering how much it will cost to have our height registered in our duplicate passport as we have lost our original?

Transfer of measurement history that was previously in a passport to a duplicate passport is £10.00
